# Internal champions · Classroom guide

Version 1 · 13 October 2026. Fictional classroom case; no real clients, participants or outcomes. Trainer review of content and timing remains pending.

## What we will practise

Teach a short task, observe a colleague’s attempt, give feedback and check the next attempt. Choose **one application per edition: AI or Work systems**. They share the method; six hours do not teach both in full.

Approved reference edition: **6 hours across 3 sessions of 2 hours, for up to 6 participants**. Each person has a final observed ten-minute turn followed by five minutes of feedback. For a larger group, agree groups or hours before confirming the edition. No mandatory homework or additional feedback outside these hours is included.

## Before starting

1. Agree the application, client’s tool and a task participants can already perform. If that foundation is missing, recommend the corresponding usage course first.
2. Prepare current sources, level, classroom access and named learning, access and process owners. Practice does not grant permissions or change policies.
3. Select `ia/` or `systems/`. The pack contains both for edition preparation; practise and assess only the chosen application.
4. Use the case documents without real data or connected accounts. When using a client’s tool, agree and check the authorised environment first.

Trainers by application: Borja Martínez for AI; Guillermo Mascaraque Piña for Work systems. Their review of content, setup and timing remains pending. Neither is attributed responsibility for teaching the other application.

## Session 1 · Prepare a task (120 min)

- 20 min: starting point, task and champion role.
- 25 min: a commented trainer demonstration of the chosen case.
- 35 min: complete `lesson-blank.md` and `job-aid-blank.md`.
- 25 min: first pair rehearsal; the learner must attempt the task.
- 15 min: review the objective, example and check.

Result: a ten-minute teaching plan and one-page aid with an observable check and sources.

## Session 2 · Observe and give feedback (120 min)

- 20 min: review difficulties and the difference between helping and taking control.
- 50 min: pair rotations, alternating champion and learner; record in `observation-blank.csv`.
- 25 min: difficulty cards from the chosen application and escalations in `escalation-blank.csv`.
- 15 min: improve the aid using observations.
- 10 min: close and prepare the individual turn.

Result: distinguish the attempt, observation, feedback, second attempt and escalation. Consult worked examples after attempting the task; they do not replace individual evidence.

## Session 3 · Individual turns (120 min)

- Up to 90 min: six turns, ten minutes of teaching and five minutes of feedback each.
- 20 min: review observed patterns together.
- 10 min: submission and initial teaching agreements.

The trainer observes **every** participant. Pair work provides rehearsal; peer review does not replace individual trainer observation.

## Submission and assessment

Submit a plan, short aid, attempt/feedback/next-attempt record and one escalation from the chosen application. The trainer completes `evaluation-blank.csv` with evidence and determines **meets requirements** or **needs review** using `expected.md`. Feedback fits within the six hours; any additional reassessment is agreed for the edition.

The champion role does not include administration, policy approval, permanent support or creating a community. `role-blank.md` helps agree a task, time, audience and boundaries with the internal owner; it is a template, not a confirmed assignment.
