Hours and sessions
8 hours live · 4 sessions of 2 h.
Group size
Up to 12 participants per trainer as a reference, adjusted to the practice and feedback.

What you will learn

  1. 01

Recognise the Copilot features available in the agreed applications.

  2. 02

Prepare a draft or summary with a stated objective and context.

  3. 03

Review references and content before using or sharing the result.

A proposed programme

You will work with a project document and a follow-up email: give Copilot context, review its suggestions and leave useful material for someone else. Practice and feedback are included in the eight hours.

We adapt the selection and depth of the modules to the group's starting point and goals.

01

Place Copilot in your work

Applications, information access and differences in availability according to the licence.

You will work on

  • Identify the Word and Outlook features available with your account.
  • Choose authorised information and distinguish supplied content from other sources.
  • Define the reader, objective and format before requesting a result.
Practice
Review the practice environment and prepare the project notes that will serve as the source.
How you will check it
You can explain what content Copilot will use and which access and features have been checked.
02

Prepare materials with context

Drafts and summaries in applications such as Word or Outlook where enabled.

You will work on

  • Summarise a document in Word, stating what the reader needs to know.
  • Separate confirmed agreements, tasks and open questions.
  • Prepare a follow-up draft in Outlook using the reviewed context.
Practice
Turn the Atlas project notes into a short update and a follow-up email.
How you will check it
The summary and draft preserve the agreements, owners and dates actually recorded in the notes.
03

Check and share

Review sources, omissions and how well the content suits its intended reader.

You will work on

  • Check each relevant fact against the original document and any available references.
  • Correct a conclusion presented as confirmed without supporting evidence.
  • Save the instructions used and a checklist for repeating the task.
Practice
Review the draft, keep an unconfirmed date explicit and prepare a version another person can check.
How you will check it
You can justify each commitment and identify what still needs confirmation before sharing.

A clear project update, even for those who missed it.

Teaching example

You will prepare a work item in an agreed application, check its content against the original information and document instructions for repeating the task.

Fictional classroom case: the Atlas project team is preparing an internal guide. Marta will review the draft and Diego will write an update for the team. We work with prepared notes, without using real emails or meetings.

Starting point
The notes mix progress, tasks and a date that is not yet confirmed. We need a team summary and a follow-up email.
First attempt
The example's first draft describes the guide as approved and sets delivery for Friday. Neither conclusion is supported by the notes.
What we review
We return to the document: Thursday is Marta's review, not an approval. Delivery is still unconfirmed. We ask for both claims to be corrected and check the text again.
Result
The summary and email distinguish the draft, the planned review and the unconfirmed date. Diego keeps the email as a draft, ready for review before sharing.
Source document

Atlas project notes

Internal guide
Draft prepared.
Review
Marta will review it on Thursday.
Team delivery
To be confirmed after the review.
Communication
Diego prepares the email; it has not been sent.
Working instruction

Summarise these notes for the team and prepare a follow-up email. Separate confirmed and pending information and retain owners and dates. Flag any missing information; do not fill it in.

The draft we review

The internal guide is already approved. We will deliver it to the team on Friday.

After checking the source

The guide's draft is prepared. Marta will review it on Thursday. Team delivery remains unconfirmed until after the review. Diego is preparing the follow-up email.

These texts are teaching examples for a fictional case, not a guaranteed Copilot response.

Before calling it complete

  • Each name, date and commitment can be checked against the source.
  • Confirmed and pending information stay separate, without filling gaps with assumptions.
  • The email and instructions are reviewed before they are used or shared.

Four sessions to put it into practice.

Reference edition · 8 h live

Eight hours across four two-hour sessions. This is a reference edition: we agree on applications, pace and practice according to the group and the features available in your environment.

  1. Session 12 h

    Prepare the context

Access, enabled features and usage guidance. We identify the project information, objective and intended reader.

    By the end

Authorised practice notes and an instruction with an objective, source and format.

  2. Session 22 h

    Summarise a document

We work on the notes in Word, refine the request and distinguish agreements, owners and open questions.

    By the end

A summary checked against the original document.

  3. Session 32 h

    Prepare the follow-up

We bring the reviewed context into an Outlook draft and adjust its structure, tone and next steps.

    By the end

An email that communicates the agreements without inventing commitments.

  4. Session 42 h

    Review and repeat

We complete the case, identify errors or omissions and review the result with the trainer's feedback.

    By the end

A reviewed version and reusable instructions for the task.

If your team needs to go further
