Apollo was born in San Francisco in 2015 as a sales intelligence and data enrichment platform, and has evolved into an end-to-end GTM platform. The current official positioning is "The AI-powered GTM platform", articulated under the Vibe GTM narrative that unifies prospecting, enrichment, multichannel engagement, deal execution and AI orchestration in a single product. The structural thesis: the traditional sales stack is fragmented across ZoomInfo + Outreach + Gong + Salesforce + Excel, and Apollo consolidates it into a single tool so the team stops paying for and orchestrating five different contracts.

The product is structured around seven layers: proprietary B2B Buyer Database with 275M+ contacts and 65M verified companies, lead enrichment with waterfall verification and buying intent scoring, multichannel engagement (email, calls via Apollo Dialer, LinkedIn, SMS), Apollo AI Assistant that builds lists and sequences in natural language, agentic AI Agents for end-to-end prospecting, conversation intelligence with call analysis and talk-time analytics, and a marketplace with 100+ native integrations (Salesforce, HubSpot, Gong, Zapier, Slack).
