One practical task, three learning criteria.
Before training starts, we agree the practical task, evidence and assessment criteria for each delivery. Practice may be individual or in a group; every participant provides individual evidence of what they have learned.
Complete the task
Complete the agreed practical case within the scope and conditions defined for the programme.
Check the result
Review whether the work meets its objective, using tests or checks appropriate to the case.
Explain decisions and limits
Explain what you did and why, the result’s limitations and when it needs review.
Each participant is reviewed individually.
The trainer reviews each participant’s evidence and decides the outcome: pass or needs review. A shared exercise must also make each person’s contribution and learning clear.
Review and feedback take place within the programme’s reference hours. If an additional reassessment is needed, its conditions are agreed for each delivery.
- Pass
- The evidence meets the agreed criteria. The participant is eligible for TOF’s own certificate of achievement.
- Needs review
- Feedback sets out what needs correcting or further practice before the participant passes the assessment.
