Another option to consider
Claude for developmentIf your work centres on reading, modifying and checking code, choose Claude for development.- Hours and sessions
- 8 hours live · 4 sessions of 2 h.
- Group size
- Up to 12 participants per trainer as a reference, adjusted to the practice and feedback.
What you will learn
- 01
Prepare instructions with the context and authorised documents needed for a task.
- 02
Check an analysis or draft against its sources, identifying omissions and information that is still needed.
- 03
Organise instructions and reference material to repeat a task and check how it responds to different examples.
A proposed programme
Turn weekly coordination notes into short minutes, an action table and a follow-up note. Learn to select the context Claude needs, summarise the meeting and adapt the result for those continuing the work. Check agreements and owners against the notes and leave a reusable format for the next meeting.
We adapt the selection and depth of the modules to the group's starting point and goals.
01Prepare the context
Objective, authorised documents and instructions to guide work with Claude.
You will work on
- Define who will use the minutes and what they need to continue the work.
- Organise notes by topics, decisions, tasks and open questions; select only the material needed.
- Prepare an instruction with context, a minutes structure and an action-table format.
- Practice
- Organise notes from a weekly meeting about internal enquiries and prepare a request for minutes and actions.
- How you will check it
- Identified notes and an instruction with a reader, topics and deliverable format.
02Analyse and draft
Summaries, information comparisons and draft preparation using examples from the group.
You will work on
- Prepare short minutes bringing together each topic’s main points and distinguishing agreements from proposals.
- Extract an action table with owners and dates, flagging details absent from the notes.
- Draft a team follow-up note and check agreements and tasks before using it.
- Practice
- Create minutes, an action table and a short team note from the same meeting.
- How you will check it
- Three consistent texts whose agreements, tasks and open questions can be located in the original notes.
03Review and repeat
Quality criteria, identifying omissions and guidance for reusing instructions.
You will work on
- Adjust the follow-up’s length and tone without losing agreements or adding commitments.
- Repeat the method with another meeting’s notes and check that earlier decisions are not carried over.
- Save instructions and reference material, using a Project only if access has been agreed and checked.
- Practice
- Apply the format to a second fictional meeting and improve the instructions using the group’s feedback.
- How you will check it
- A reusable minutes and follow-up guide with a second reviewed deliverable.
From scattered notes to actionable minutes
Teaching example
Suggested practice: turn meeting notes into a summary and proposed follow-up, checking decisions and data against the source material. We can organise the instructions and documents in a Project when this fits the goals and available features. The exercise is agreed for each edition.
Fictional classroom case. At its weekly meeting, a team agrees to update the internal-enquiries guide. Irene will prepare a draft on Thursday and Pablo will review duplicate enquiries on Friday. Consolidating intake channels remains a proposal, with no decision or owner yet. We use written notes, not recordings.
- Starting point
- The notes consist of scattered phrases. Anyone who missed the meeting needs to know what was agreed, what each person should do and which questions remain open.
- First attempt
- The group requests short minutes, an action table and a team note. The teaching draft we review summarises the topics but presents channel consolidation as approved and loses the task dates.
- What we review
- The trainer helps check the minutes against the notes and turn the tasks into a useful table. The group retains owners and dates and moves channel consolidation back into outstanding proposals.
- Result
- The minutes record the guide update. Actions are Irene: draft on Thursday; Pablo: duplicate review on Friday. The note communicates these tasks and keeps channel consolidation open. The format is then reused with different notes, without sending messages.
Weekly coordination · internal enquiries
- Agreement
- Update the internal-enquiries guide.
- Action 1
- Irene prepares the draft on Thursday.
- Action 2
- Pablo reviews duplicate enquiries on Friday.
- Proposal
- Consolidate channels: no decision or owner.
Prepare short minutes, an action table with owners and dates, and a team follow-up note. Use these notes and separate agreements from proposals. Flag missing details rather than filling them in.
Draft we review
It is agreed to update the guide and consolidate intake channels. Irene will draft it and Pablo will review duplicates.
Reviewed minutes and actions
Agreement: update the guide. Actions: Irene prepares the draft on Thursday; Pablo reviews duplicates on Friday. Channel consolidation remains a proposal with no decision or owner. The follow-up note retains these distinctions.
Teaching texts from a fictional case; the prepared draft supports review practice and is not a guaranteed Claude response.
Before calling it complete
- The minutes distinguish agreements from proposals and open questions.
- The table retains the tasks, owners and dates appearing in the notes.
- The follow-up note and next minutes retain the context of their own meeting.
Four sessions to put it into practice.
